On June 17, 2023, CATERBE organized a special employee trip to Lijiang and Shangri-La to experience the magnificence of snow-capped mountains, the romance of ancient cities, and the profound heritage of Tibetan culture. This trip not only enriched the employees' horizons, but also deepened their understanding of natural and cultural landscapes.
The first stop of the trip was Lijiang. We set off from Changsha and flew directly to Lijiang to embark on this journey of close contact with nature. In Lijiang, we visited the famous Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, took the glacier cableway to the station at an altitude of 4501 meters, and then hiked to the top of the viewing platform at an altitude of 4680 meters, overlooking the magnificent scenery of the entire Lijiang. The beautiful scenery here seems to be the ideal place in everyone's heart. Everyone has left beautiful memories between this magical snow-capped mountain and the blue sky.
The Blue Moon Valley in Lijiang is also intoxicating. Under the clear sky, the lake is azure blue, and the shape of the valley is like a blue moon, like a fairyland on earth. After visiting the Blue Moon Valley, everyone climbed to the top of the snow mountain and felt the majesty and tranquility of nature.
The romantic atmosphere of Lijiang Ancient Town also deeply attracted everyone. The morning sun shines into the room, and in the evening, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance and the sunset complement each other. It is spring all year round here, with flowers blooming on the roadside, walls, and riverside, giving people an extremely warm feeling. In the evening, everyone went to Lijiang Ancient Town to feel the historical atmosphere and romantic feelings brought by this ancient city.
After the trip to Lijiang, the CATERBE team continued to Shangri-La and embarked on a new adventure. The first stop was Tiger Leaping Gorge, located between Lijiang Jade Dragon Snow Mountain and Shangri-La Haba Snow Mountain. Legend has it that a ferocious tiger once leaped across the gorge here. Then, everyone visited Pudacuo National Park and admired the alpine lakes, virgin forests and the beautiful Bitahai, which is known as the "Pearl" on the plateau. Afterwards, the team also visited Dukezong Ancient City, which is known as the "Moonlight City" and is one of the best-preserved Tibetan settlements in China. Finally, everyone visited Songtsam Forest Temple, which is known as the "Little Potala Palace", and made people deeply feel the cultural essence of Tibetan Buddhism.
During this fulfilling journey, everyone not only enjoyed the beauty of the snow-capped mountains, but also rode horses across the grassland, tasted the Tibetan King Tusi Banquet, watched the Naxi horse jumping performance, and participated in the bonfire party. After a few days of travel, everyone returned to work with a happy mood, full of awe for nature and culture, and welcomed the challenges of the future.
