Recently, two national standards for the crane industry, spearheaded by ZOOMLION, were officially released by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Standardization Administration of China. These standards deeply integrate with international advanced technology systems, achieving alignment with global mainstream standards while also leading the industry toward high-quality development through technical specifications better suited to domestic needs. The two national standards spearheaded by ZOOMLION are: GB/T 45680 “Cranes - Wind Load Calculation” (ISO 4302:2016, MOD) GB/T 20863.2 “Cranes - Classification - Part 2: Mobile Cranes” (ISO 4031-2:2020, IDT)

Specifically, GB/T 20863.2 adopts the IDT (Identical to Technical Specification) approach, fully incorporating the core technical content of ISO 4031-2:2020 to introduce the internationally recognized mobile crane classification system intact into China. Compared to the previous version, the new standard achieves breakthroughs in three key areas:

Three key breakthroughs:
· New classification principles clarify the initiation and definition of work cycles and operational tasks.
· Refined overall machine usage grades incorporate work cycle counts and work levels, making classification standards more quantifiable and operational.
· New component and mechanism classifications ensure more scientific and unified grading for complete machines, parts, and mechanisms.

The implementation of this standard not only provides a unified “international benchmark” for domestic R&D, testing, and acceptance but also effectively eliminates technical barriers caused by standard differences for export products, propelling China's mobile cranes toward comprehensive globalization.

Another standard, GB/T 45680, incorporates moderate modifications based on ISO 4302:2016. It establishes a wind load calculation system that combines international advancement with China-specific conditions, tailored precisely to the nation's complex climatic and topographical features.

Core innovations of the standard include:
· Incorporating wind speed characteristics from China's seven major climate zones into the calculation model, replacing the internationally used average wind speed for more refined wind pressure calculations.
· Supplementing correction formulas for typical local wind fields such as land, sea, and islands to address the international standard's limitations in adapting to special terrains.
· Clarifying adaptation requirements for anchoring devices when wind speeds exceed design values, forming a systematic technical closed loop with domestic standards like GB/T 31051.

These optimizations enhance the safety assessment capabilities of cranes under extreme weather conditions, providing more localized engineering guidance for wind load protection.

Throughout the development of both standards, ZOOMLION adhered to the principle of “aligning with international standards while leading domestic development.” By systematically reviewing technical materials from both China and abroad, the company ensured the precise translation of core international technologies while fully incorporating practical experience from domestic manufacturers. This approach ultimately yielded technical outcomes grounded in international standards and centered on China's specific needs. Both national standards have now been officially released and are in the implementation transition phase.

Standard-driven development is the foundation for high-quality growth in manufacturing. Moving forward, ZOOMLION will deepen its engagement with international standardization bodies like ISO/TC96, promoting more Chinese technologies into global standards. Simultaneously, it will leverage standard innovation to drive industrial technology upgrades, accelerating the advancement of Chinese equipment onto the global stage.
