Recently, the Science and Technology Department of Guangxi Autonomous Region officially approved the establishment of "Guangxi High-end Engineering Equipment Laboratory", marking that Guangxi's independent innovation research platform in the field of high-end engineering equipment has reached a new height. This move not only means LIUGONG has the highest level of research and development platform in this field, but also indicates that its strategic scientific and technological strength will be further enhanced.

It is reported that the Autonomous region laboratory is one of the key measures for Guangxi to implement the objectives and tasks of the three-year action plan for strengthening Guangxi by science and technology and to build a science and technology innovation cooperation zone for ASEAN. The laboratory is a national laboratory and a national key laboratory, committed to becoming the highest level, the highest level of science and technology research and development platform in Guangxi. The laboratory will face the demand of high-end engineering equipment for national major projects, actively respond to industry challenges, and promote the development of engineering equipment in the direction of extreme, green, unmanned and intelligent.

Guangxi high-end engineering Equipment Laboratory will lay out four research directions, including the key technologies of extreme conditions engineering equipment, new energy technologies for engineering equipment, key technologies of independent operation of engineering equipment, and generative artificial intelligence application technologies for engineering equipment. These research directions aim to break through the core foundation, key commonalities and frontier application technologies of high-end engineering equipment, and provide a solid technology and platform foundation for the upgrading of traditional industries, the construction of strategic emerging industries and the future industrial layout of Guangxi and even the country.

Led by LIUGONG, the laboratory is jointly built by Zhejiang University Institute of High-end Equipment, Beijing Institute of Technology National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles, Guangxi University and Liuzhou LIUGONG Excavator Co., LTD. The laboratory brings together a number of academchinese leaders to jointly promote the breakthrough and innovation of high-end engineering equipment technology. During the construction period, the laboratory will strive to become an innovation platform for the core technology research, achievement transformation, industrial upgrading and talent gathering of the high-end engineering equipment manufacturing industry in Guangxi and even the world.
