VOLVO Construction Equipment recently announced the launch of its largest and most ground-breaking range of articulated tippers ever. The new range is designed to meet the modern market's need for connected solutions, efficient productivity and emissions reduction, while putting people first.
The update marks a complete upgrade of VOLVO CE's existing articulated tipper range, extending the model range from the A25 to the A60, with the introduction of the all-new A50 model providing customers with even more choice in the demanding tipper market.
The new range brings a number of key innovations, including new electronics, an upgraded cab for superior operator comfort and safety, and a self-developed driveline system designed to accommodate future drivetrains.
More than 35 per cent of VOLVO CE's product portfolio has been renewed in the last 12 months, the latest step in the company's largest product renewal programme in decades.
VOLVO CE has been leading the industry since 1966, when it launched the world's first articulated tipper, the ‘Gravel Charlie’. The new world-class articulated tipper range will be progressively launched in global markets during 2025.
The new A25 to A60 range offers significant technological leaps forward thanks to key innovations such as new electronics and in-house developed driveline systems, which, depending on the model and industrial application, can improve fuel efficiency by up to 15 per cent. In addition, the manufacturer says that the new design of these models allows them to adapt to future drivetrains over time.
VOLVO CE President Melker Jernberg said, ‘We have been setting trends in the articulated tipper segment for almost 60 years, and now with the launch of an outstanding range of products, including an all-new model, we are proving once again that there are no limits to our ability to innovate.’
The new model focuses not only on efficiency, but also emphasises sustainability with the use of low-carbon emitting steel, another step in VOLVO CE's drive to achieve its goal of net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040.
The launch marks a key step in VOLVO CE's continued innovation and maintenance of its leadership position in the construction equipment industry.
